About Me
My name is Hayley and I am a fully qualified and insured psychotherapeutic counsellor. I hold professional accredited status with the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society). Professional accreditation is designed to recognise the achievement of high standards of knowledge, experience and development in counselling and psychotherapy. I abide by the NCPS ethical framework and am accountable to them.
I work integratively, with a person-centred foundation. This means that beyond my core 4 year training primarily in person-centred therapy, I have spent further years training in several different psychotherapeutic models, as I don't believe in 'one size fits all' in therapy. Our therapy may involve elements of person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), SBFT (Solution-Focused Brief Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), TA (Transactional Analysis) Hypnotherapy, and more. I believe that therapy should be designed to fit around you as an individual, not the other way around. Your feedback is always welcome. I believe that the relationship between my client and me is the most important aspect of therapy and I value your ability to make your own decisions. I always aim to offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I regularly attend further training and supervision.
I have lots of extra training and experience in working with issues related to pregnancy, fertility and childbirth. I have additional training in working with individuals with, or who suspect they may have ADHD.
I am based in Milton Keynes, where I offer a quiet, private space for face-to-face counselling sessions. I also offer online counselling that can be attended from the comfort of your own home.
